API MEET UP: Building Practical Pathways Towards More Sustainable, Resilient and Value-Based Healthcare Procurement
An explorative exchange between European Buyers and Medical Industries

Hosted by Health Proc Europe as facilitator of the Alliance for Procurement Impact (API), this interactive Dialogue Forum will bring together hospitals, health authorities, and industry, spanning pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and equipment, to work towards more sustainable, resilient, and value-based healthcare procurement. Participants will hear industry perspectives on the challenges facing healthcare supply chains, explore the API Adoption Labs to bring the existing knowledge into practice, and engage in open dialogue.

Purpose of the Workshop

Across Europe, efforts to move procurement decisions beyond price, toward criteria that reflect sustainability, resilience, supply security and long-term value, are growing, yet remain fragmented and inconsistent. The Alliance for Procurement Impact (API) was created as a neutral, multi stakeholder platform to turn this ambition into common, workable procurement practice, co-created with public buyers, industry, policymakers and experts across pharmaceuticals, medical devices and medical equipment.

This Dialogue Forum brings that work to the table. Industry will share the challenges shaping healthcare supply chains and the case for closer collaboration, while buyers already engaged in the API Adoption Labs will share what they have learned so far and why this work matters in practice. Together, participants will discuss how to move these ideas from ambition to implementation.
