Feasibility Report: Green design in single use items: The case of the Mediplast vomit bag

The feasibility study identified clear opportunities for greener design of Mediplast’s vomit bag, including biobased and recycled materials and potential circular use of residuals from other products.

The work strengthened internal knowledge, informed decision-making and was shared through NCSH activities across Europe. Next steps include mapping suitable suppliers, assessing costs and understanding customer willingness to pay for sustainable alternatives.
