2026 Sustainable Healthcare Conference Wrap-Up: 500+ Participants, 25+ Countries & 10 Side Events
Sustainable Healthcare Week 2026 marked our largest and most international edition to date.
Across the week, we welcomed more than 500 participants from over 25 countries, bringing together healthcare professionals, public authorities, hospitals, companies, researchers, NGOs, universities, procurement organisations, networks and international partners.
At the centre of the week was the 8th Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare, held on 1 October at Malmö Arena Hotel. More than 250 participants joined the main conference, featuring 26 speakers, 7 moderators and 20 exhibitors.
Alongside the main conference, 10 side events took place throughout the week, creating additional opportunities for discussion, knowledge exchange and collaboration around sustainable procurement, prevention, research and innovation, resilience and the transition towards more sustainable healthcare systems.
The week also marked important milestones for international collaboration, including the signing of the charter for the International Consortium for Sustainable Healthcare (ICSH) and the first Collaboration of Sustainable Healthcare Research (CSHR).
With participants joining us from across Europe and beyond, Sustainable Healthcare Week 2026 demonstrated the growing international momentum around sustainable healthcare – and the importance of bringing together different sectors, perspectives and expertise to move from ambition towards implementation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us in Malmö and contributed to making Sustainable Healthcare Week 2026 our biggest edition yet!
