A Busy Spring Building Towards Our Biggest Event of the Year
The first half of 2026 has been an exciting and productive period for the Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare.
Over the past six months, we have continued to expand our network, strengthen international collaborations, engage healthcare professionals through live events, and advance sustainability initiatives through European projects. While each activity has had its own impact, they all contribute to one common goal: creating momentum for the 8th Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare, taking place on 1 October 2026 at Malmö Arena Hotel.
We wanted to share a snapshot of some key figures that illustrate the progress and engagement across our network during the first semester of 2026:
-180 members in the NCSH network
-28 European partners involved in EU-funded projects
-122 participants engaged through World’s Greenest Hospital LIVE sessions
-Preparation underway for the 8th Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare
These numbers represent a growing community of healthcare organizations, companies, innovators, researchers and public stakeholders working together to accelerate sustainable healthcare across the Nordic region and beyond.
Throughout the spring, we have hosted webinars, welcomed new members, participated in international events from Dubai to Mexico and continued our work within European collaborations. The strong engagement we have seen, both in the Nordics and internationally, confirms that the demand for sustainable and resilient healthcare solutions is growing rapidly.
Many of the ideas, experiences and innovations shared throughout the year will now come together at the Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare this autumn, creating a platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration and action.
Looking Ahead
We are now just four months away from welcoming participants to Malmö for what promises to be our largest and most practical conference to date. With the programme continuing to take shape, our team is now moving from planning and preparation into the final stages of delivering a full day dedicated to sustainable healthcare solutions, innovation and collaboration.
