Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in the forum “Experiences and Lessons Learned for a Resilient Health System in Mexico”, organized together with the Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Mexico and Novo Nordisk. It was a valuable space to exchange perspectives on how we can strengthen healthcare systems through innovation, sustainability, and collaboration.
It was a pleasure to share the day with partners such as Novo Nordisk, Essity, UNICEF, alongside key stakeholders including the Ministry of Health from Mexico City, Nadine Gasman. The discussions reflected a strong, shared interest in moving healthcare systems forward.
One of the key takeaways from the day was the importance of collaboration. Strengthening healthcare systems, while making them more sustainable, requires different actors to work together, share experiences, and learn from each other.
There was also a clear focus on turning ideas into action. From prevention initiatives to education and system-level improvements, the conversations showed that real impact comes from implementing solutions and adapting them to local contexts.
This event also marked the first time a side event connected to the Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare was held in Mexico, highlighting a growing interest in international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
We will continue these discussions at the 8th Nordic Conference on Sustainable Healthcare, taking place on 1 October in Malmö. The conference brings together stakeholders from across sectors to share insights, build partnerships, and move the work forward. Conference - Nordic Center for Sustainable Healthcare
Because sustainable healthcare is not built in isolation.
It is built together.
