Okos Diagnostics introduces an eco-friendly pregnancy test.
Interest in sustainable diagnostics continues to grow across the IVD industry, with manufacturers, global health partners and distributors increasingly seeking alternatives to traditional plastic test cassettes.
Okos Diagnostics has developed biomaterial solutions designed to reduce environmental impact without compromising diagnostic performance. As a next milestone, the company introduces the Measie eco-friendly pregnancy test.
The test housing is made from next-generation plant-based polymers, replacing petroleum-derived plastics and supporting a more circular materials economy. Unlike conventional plastic cassettes, the Measie cassette is biodegradable, offering a cleaner end-of-life footprint and reducing long-term plastic pollution.
Performance has been validated through a stability study conducted by a leading global IVD manufacturer. The materials technology and cassette architecture are currently Patent Pending in both the EU and the US.
Disposable diagnostics generate significant plastic waste worldwide. The Measie eco-friendly pregnancy test demonstrates that sustainability and reliability can go hand in hand, supporting broader adoption of greener diagnostic solutions.
