NÄL – First in Sweden
In early June, NÄL (Norra Älvsborgs Länssjukhus) carried out a live exercise together with MedicSolution and the ultra-mobile modular platform MAX24. With this exercise, the hospital became the first in Sweden to conduct this type of simulation.
The exercise included two full-scale surgical scenarios using MAX24’s operating unit. The first scenario was based on the need to increase hospital capacity in parallel with ongoing operations. The second scenario simulated a disaster situation in which the hospital’s regular functions were down.
During the exercises, a full surgical team was on-site to simulate procedures as realistically as possible. MAX24 was able to demonstrate its full capabilities and prove that it can meet the high standards required in civilian healthcare.
“We are very pleased with the exercise, and it was incredibly exciting to see MAX24 in a real-world setting during the simulations. It was educational in many ways and provided us with valuable insights that we will take with us moving forward,” says Jens Sjödahl, CEO of MedicSolution.
Since its debut at Almedalen nearly a year ago, MAX24 has attracted strong interest both in Sweden and internationally. The exercise at NÄL gave MedicSolution the opportunity to stress-test its core functionality and gain learnings from a live scenario with a complete surgical team and full equipment in place.
“For us, this is clear proof that we have developed an ultra-mobile solution that meets all the requirements of civilian healthcare. It also gave us another opportunity to demonstrate that our logistics work and that we can deliver anywhere in Sweden within 24 hours,” concludes Jens Sjödahl.
