NCSH's member Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) is launching the report 'Transforming Healthcare: the role of engineering to deliver a net zero health service' – and you are invited to attend in London!
The report explores the sustainability challenges facing healthcare, the positive steps taken across the UK to address these, and how engineering can and already is contributing to healthcare's Net Zero transition.

Join IMechE at this report launch where you will hear a keynote talk from Dr Mary De Silva, Deputy Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Dr Helen Meese CEng MIMechE, Chair of the IMechE's Biomedical Engineering Division, will then present the key findings of the report. The engineering response and challenges will be highlighted, with recommendations on how to overcome them.
A panel discussion will follow where the speakers will be joined by:
- Addie MacGregor, Sustainability Manager, Association for British HealthTech Industries
- Joseph Burton, Sustainability Transformation Project Lead at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trusts
- Fanny Burrows, Net Zero Research & Innovation Lead - Greener NHS Programme, NHS England
After there will be a technology showcase in the Marble Hall, with drinks and canapes.
