The NCSH Method: Establishing a Baseline for Green Hospitals in India

Did you know that India is planning to build 1400 hospitals in the next five years and that climate is high on the agenda?

In collaboration with Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child (MAMTA HIMC), NCSH is on-site in India this week to establish a baseline for green hospitals through audits at new hospitals in Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and more. The method that is being developed has the Nordics as a reference point.

After the last days' meetings with the state secretary and the state managers for health, environment, climate, and education, the significant engagement in ensuring more sustainable healthcare is clear.
