We let them introduce themselves:

The Hospital District of Southwest Finland is a public joint municipal authority that produces specialised health care services in its six hospital units. Of these the largest is Turku University Hospital in Turku. The hospital district provides specialised health care services to 477 000 residents of the region. Additionally, the district is offers university hospital level services for the hospital districts of Satakunta and Vaasa. The hospital district is the employer of more than 8500 professionals from various fields. Turku University Hospital is also the partner of the University of Turku in scientific research and medical education. One of our five values is sustainability, and we are ready to launch our new sustainability program this autumn.
