In collaboration with BELOK, NCSH partnering in a workshop on the topic of energy efficient solutions for large-scale kitchens in healthcare facilities. This workshop will be an opportunity for suppliers to present their energy efficient solutions.
The workshop is focused on a real case, namely the central kitchen of Blekingesjukhuset, a hospital located in Karlskrona. The central kitchen, which consists of a production kitchen and a restaurant, is planned to be completely renovated in the years 2020-2022. Today, the kitchen produces around 1000 cooked portions per day, of which around 300 are served as lunch in the restaurant and the remaining are delivered as patientmeals in the care units.
The workshop is free of charge, and will take place in the city of Karlskrona in Sweden the 23rd to the 24th of October. The language used during the event is Swedish. During these two days various themes will be discussed, such as cooking appliances, dishwashers, ventilation and filters, recyling of residual heat, and more. It is possible to participate both days, just selected parts, or to join via Skype.
NCSH's partnering in this workshop is part of the project Platform for Internationalisation: Energy and Climate Smart Healthcare, which is financed by the Swedish Energy Agency.
